Stop by the library and visit our new literacy center, today! The Otsego District Public Library is pleased to announce the creation and opening of the NEW Rise & Shine Early Literacy Center space in our library!
The Storytime House has been converted into a literacy-rich space where children and their caregivers may explore a wide variety of colors, animals, letters, numbers, sounds, objects, shapes, textures and books. Children will be able to spell their name and other words on our fun new magnet wall, act out a story with a new puppet stage, put together puzzles, build their writing skills with letter tracing toys, write and draw on a large chalkboard, use their creativity and imagination in our new play house which will rotate as many different businesses — post office, bank, ice cream shop, restaurant, grocery store, etc. The library has also added many new Easy Readers and Board Books to the collection!
Using these resources, we hope many area families will visit our center for a fun and educational experience as they begin what we hope is a lifelong habit of reading for pleasure and knowledge.
Be sure to come visit the Rise and Shine Early Literacy Center this summer!
