Meet the Author Teresa Irish as she presents: “The Journey of the Letters” at A THOUSAND LETTERS HOME. Teresa brings us the story of her father, Bud, writing 1,000 letters home from WWII to his parents and the sweetheart that later became his wife. These fragile, yellow-paged letters were postmarked from November 1942 to December 1945.
 
CANVAS CAFÉ is back with Sara Strong Glupker of Sara Strong Studios! Register soon as space fills up fast.
 
Get ONE-ON-ONE DROP-IN COMPUTER & OVERDRIVE HELP by making a reservation for assistance. The American Red Cross will be hosting another BLOOD DRIVE.
 
Teens & Tweens (12 - 18 years of age) can get involved at their library by joining the TEEN ADVISORY BOARD (T.A.B.) Volunteers  focus on what the library can do for teens by creating fun programs, making exciting recommendations for the collection, and volunteering at library events. Be a part of making an impact on your library! Members earn service hour credit for participating. where they get to help suggest teen reads, programs, and events!
 
New TEEN SCENE: We will have weekly activities including the XBox Kinect, Nintendo Wii, Games, and more planned for middle school and high school students each Friday at 4 pm.
 
FRIGHT NIGHT is almost upon us! Get ready for a spooky after hours teen event where we dress up in our costumes and party the night away! Gather with us for READERS THEATRE as we have a table reading of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" by JK Rowling. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
 
The Otsego District Library is excited to announce the new program 1000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN this fall, along with ten other Allegan County Libraries! ODL is leading the way on this program for Allegan County. The Allegan County Libraries have partnered with the Allegan County United Way and Volunteer Center. 
 
Kick off the fall season with STORYTIME, BABYTIME, and MUSIC & MOVEMENT! Watch for our new CHILDREN'S ART DISPLAY wall located in the Brenda Morris Reading Nook! Author Sarah Steele will be at the library to read her brand new book, “The Monsterbet: The ABCs Do Not Scare Me” at the MONSTER BASH! Children can meet a LIVE REINDEER & SANTA over the holiday season. 
 
The FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY are always seeking new members! Check out the Twice Told Tales Book Store to find books for adults, teens, and childrenat $1 or less! The BIG FALL BOOK SALE is coming up; click the newsletter icon for date and time details. SENIORS' CLUB  has some fun new events and BOOK CLUBS are featuring some exciting new titles! Knitters, corchet lovers, and cross-stitchers can gather by the fireplace for KNIT2GETHER.
