The ADULT WINTER READING CLUB begins in the new year from January 3 - March 31. Sign up to be part of our Adult “Read and Dine” Club. Read ten books and you could win a Kindle Fire HD or one of four $25.00 gift cards to local restaurants. 

DR. SEUSS IS COMING TO THE LIBRARY! The Pinnacle Art Group Presents: “The Art of Dr. Seuss”  from March 2 - 30 . The gallery will be open during ALL library hours. Join us for a Special Kick-off Event on Thursday, March 2 from 5 PM - 8 PM. The wildly imaginative creations included in the Secret Art Collection show a previously unseen dimension of this beloved author's art. Theodor Seuss Geisel created paintings and sculptures for his own pleasure, rarely exhibiting these treasures during his lifetime.  Geisel entrusted these exquisite works of art to his wife, Audrey, to fulfill his dream that they be shared with his fans upon his passing.  This collection has visited galleries and museums across the world.
 
 Life-Size Candyland will provide an adventure for patrons of all ages! Plan to bring your family and friends to visit a world of sweets! Your favorite childhood game came to life in the library’s program room from December 27 - January 21.
 
 Meet the Author Teresa Irish as she presents: “The Journey of the Letters” at A THOUSAND LETTERS HOME. Teresa brings us the story of her father, Bud, writing 1,000 letters home from WWII to his parents and the sweetheart that later became his wife. These fragile, yellow-paged letters were postmarked from November 1942 to December 1945.
 
CANVAS CAFÉ is back with Sara Strong Glupker of Sara Strong Studios! Register soon as space fills up fast.
 
Join us for MICHIGAN BACK ROADS with author Ron Rademacher on Thursday, April 13 at 7 PM. Ron Rademacher is the author of five books featuring the backroads of Michigan road trips. Join us for an entertaining and educational slide presentation and discussion about some of Michigan’s most unique destinations! Get ready to take notes of some fun places to visit.
 
AARP TAX-AIDE is back for Thursday Appointments from February 2 - April 13. Registration for appointments will begin Monday, January 16, at 9 AM. Call 269-694-9690 or visit the library to register. Space is limited.
The American Red Cross will be hosting another BLOOD DRIVE Don't forget to make your donation on Monday March 13 from 12 PM - 6 PM.
 
Get ONE-ON-ONE DROP-IN COMPUTER & OVERDRIVE HELP by making a reservation for assistance. .
 
Teens & Tweens (12 - 18 years of age) can get involved at their library by joining the TEEN ADVISORY BOARD (T.A.B.) Volunteers  focus on what the library can do for teens by creating fun programs, making exciting recommendations for the collection, and volunteering at library events. Be a part of making an impact on your library! Members earn service hour credit for participating. where they get to help suggest teen reads, programs, and events! TEEN SCENE: We will have weekly activities including the XBox Kinect, Nintendo Wii, Games, and more planned for middle school and high school students each Friday at 4 pm. 
Teens and tweens can celebrate Valentines Day with us at this exclusive VALENTINE'S DAY PARTY! Couples and singles are invited for food, refreshments, and fun! 
 
The Otsego District Library is excited to offer 1000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN along with ten other Allegan County Libraries! ODL is leading the way on this program for Allegan County. The Allegan County Libraries have partnered with the Allegan County United Way and Volunteer Center. 
 
Children can join us for a PUPPY PARTY on February 4 from 10 AM - Noon. Children will be able to adopt their very own free puppy.  (Don’t worry parents, the puppies are stuffed). Paws with a Cause will give a short presentation on raising and training a future Assistance Dog. Watch “The Secret Life of Pets” while munching on free “pup”corn during the movie.
 
SPRING BREAK FOR KIDS: AMAZING ANIMALS is packed with animal themed fun! Join us each day for Lego Animals, Canvas Cafe for Kids, Animal Workshop, and the John Ball Traveling Zoo.
Our winter season is packed with STORYTIME, TINY TOTS, and MUSIC & MOVEMENT! Watch for our new CHILDREN'S ART DISPLAY wall located in the Brenda Morris Reading Nook!  
 
The FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY are always seeking new members! Check out the Twice Told Tales Book Store to find books for adults, teens, and childrenat $1 or less!
 
SENIORS' CLUB  has some fun new events and BOOK CLUBS are featuring some exciting new titles!
