Mission Statement
The Friends of the Otsego Public Library consists of citizens who are interested in promoting and expanding the library's services to the community.

Spring Book Sale
October 14, 9am-7pm
October 15, 9am-2:30pm
October 17, $1/per bag sale until 4pm

Friends of the Library College Scholarship
This is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to a local Otsego high school senior who has demonstrated an appreciation for public libraries. Applications are available in March.

Volunteering Opportunities
Volunteering at the library is a great way to become involved within a great environment that is dedicated to serving the library needs of the Alamo and Otsego communities and helping foster an appreciation for reading.

Current opportunities include:
Working in the Friends' Bookstore
Assisting with the semi-annual book sales
Keeping library shelves in perfect order!
Indexing the historic Otsego Union newspaper
Indexing the Sherman-DeVries-Culver-Davis Photographic Negative Collection

Membership
Becoming a member of the Friends of the Library is easy. Just volunteer for at least one event at the library per year and you're in. There are no membership dues and the group meets four times a year to conduct needed business.
